A keynote speech delivered by HH Princess Noura bint Turki Al-Saud, co-founder of AEON, opening the high-level panel discussion at the Women in Energy Diplomacy Leadership (WEDL) Forum.

The panel, titled “Shaping Global Energy Dialogue: Leadership in International Institutions,” brought together senior leaders from international organizations to explore leadership in multilateral environments, the evolving role of international institutions in shaping the global energy dialogue, and the opportunities and challenges facing women pursuing careers within these organizations.

In her address, Princess Noura brought the conversation back to the core of development: energy. Her message was clear—energy is not simply one industry among many. It determines whether people can study, work, move, build, and participate in the future of their communities and nations. As she stated: “Energy is not a sector but a foundation upon which human dignity either stands or collapses. It is the foundational pillar of development and human prosperity.”
